About the event
Come and dance to the music of the New Leviathan Oriental Foxtrot Orchestra, the city’s premiere ragtime and early jazz orchestra for the past four decades! Part symphony, part vaudeville act, the New Leviathan is a full entertainment experience, and one of the best dance bands in the country.
Ragtime Day NOLA’s Ragtime Ball: “Wine-Tango-Foxtrot" will be held in Uptown New Orleans at the beautiful historic Dance Quarter New Orleans, 1719 Toledano St, a state-of the-art dance studio in a renovated firehouse (once used by Eddie Bo as a recording studio). One and a half blocks from the St Charles streetcar, it has one of the best dance floors in the city and regularly offers dance lessons of all kinds.
Special wine offerings will be curated by New Orleans native and Los Angeles resident, Sherrijon Gaspard. A member of a consortium of Black vintners in California, Gaspard will bring the right blend…
